Google Apps for Education Overview

The Frontier Regional and Union #38 School Districts are using Google Apps for Education cloud service for the staff, teachers, and students. This service provides teachers and students exciting new tools that can be integrated into their curriculum.  Some of the many benefits include the ability to access information from school or home and to increase their ability to collaborate and share information with fellow students and teachers.  If students and parents opt out of the cloud service, this will impact their ability to use certain technology devices and they will not be able to utilize these tools as part of the curriculum.  

Our Google Apps Domain is hosted by Google and managed by the School District Technology Department.  Grades 3-6 have individual access to Google Drive, Calendar, and Sites.  Starting at grade 3, students receive an individual computer account used to access the school computers.  Upon parental/guardian consent, these accounts are synchronized with our Google Apps for Education platform and students can begin using these additional resources in school or at home.  Grades 7 and above have access to Google Mail.
