The Whately Out of School Time program provides a safe and nurturing environment beyond school hours where children have the opportunity to do their homework, work on fun activities, play games in the gym and socialize with friends. Our family-centered program nurtures the whole child by inspiring academic success, healthy movement and social and emotional development. Our staff of caring, trained educators are role models who lead activities that promote cooperation and character development and easily adapt the program to meet the children’s needs.
Early care starts at 7am; a healthy breakfast is served until 8 am. Morning activities are in the OSTP classroom.
Afterschool starts with a healthy snack, followed by outside play, and then we divide into two groups, homework help and activities. The activities range from art, science, cooking, and also free choice in the afterschool room. Our activities give your child endless opportunities to learn and grow. Most of our staff consists of professionals who work in the school during the day. This gives the students a wonderful transition into the program at the beginning and end of the day.
