
Communication Tools

The Frontier Regional and Union #38 School Districts are proud to offer Google Workplace services for members of our learning community. Google Workplace for Education service is entirely online and available 24/7 from any Internet-connected device.
Student Communication:
- Students K-11 cannot communicate with other online users outside our district.
- Students K-12 cannot use Google Chat.
- Students K-12 cannot initiate a Google Meet.
Users will have access to the following applications:
- GMail – an individual email platform managed by the Frontier Regional and Union 38 School Districts and enabled for Grades 7 and above.
- Google Contacts
- Google Meet – Students can attend Google Meets, but cannot create them.
- Classroom – a content management system for managing materials created in G-Suite.

Student Square is a communication tool teachers and students can use to safely and privately send instant messages. Teachers and Groups can also create informational posts to share event details, classroom activities, and more while maintaining a stream similar to other social media platforms.
Only Students Grade 7-12 have this available.

Productivity Tools

Users will have access to the following applications:
- Drive – unlimited file storage with a suite of word processing applications including Docs, Sheets, Slides,
- Forms and Drawings.
- Calendar – an individual calendar providing the ability to organize schedules, daily activities, and assignments
- Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drawings, Forms
- Jamboard
- Sites – an individual and collaborative website creation tool.
- Classroom – a content management system for managing materials created in G-Suite.
Student Sharing
- Students K-11 cannot share with other online users outside our district domain @stu.frsu38.org
Learning Managment Systems

Google Classroom is a learning management system teachers use to distribute assignment materials, resources, and assessments. Google Classroom allows for seamless integration with the student Google Suite of tools, and facilitates the sharing necessary to turn in assignments. Google Classroom is used predominently in Grades 3-8.

Schoology is a learning management system teachers use to distribute assignment materials, resources, and assessments. Schoology can be integrated with the Google Suite of Tools allowing students and teachers to share documents between the two platforms. Schoology is predominently used with the Math, Science and History departments in the high school.
