Keyboarding

When, Why and How to Teach Keyboarding

Since our time keyboarding is very brief, instruction is targeted to very specific skills.  This is accomplished by:

  • Students look to the white board to review key observations teachers will be looking for during the keyboarding activities.  For example:
    • Posture
    • Using the Space Bar with thumbs
    • Using the Enter key with right pinky finger extension
    • Eyes on the monitor
