Now, we are reaching out to all families to check in about possible food needs for the children in your household.  We do not want anyone to worry about food during this difficult time. If you would like to opt in to this service, please call your child’s school as soon as possible.  Our plan is to create a count for our kitchen staff so we can begin to offer grab and go breakfast and lunch bags tomorrow, Tuesday, March 17th. Food will be distributed between 11:00-1:00 at your child(ren)’s school building.

In addition, we have posted the listing of all Food Banks for both Franklin and Hampshire Counties on our schools’ websites.

On another note, we plan to send out more information on Continuing Learning activities for your child(ren) to do during the school closure.  Keeping the spark for learning alive, tapping into our students’ curiosity and staying connected (virtually in this case) with you and your child are core to our Continuing Learning plans.

Please do not hesitate to contact me or your child(ren)’s school principal with any additional questions/concerns.

Sincerely,

Darius Modestow,

Superintendent
